19 de agosto de 2008- A Interscope Records lança o aguardado álbum The Fame, de Lady Gaga. O CD chaga ao topo das paradas no Canadá e na Austrália, mas não faz tanto sucesso nos Estados Unidos.
Agosto de 2008 - Christina Aguilera aparece vestida com um collant e capuz, figurino que imidiatamente lembrava o visual de Gaga. Os fóruns da internet começam a se esquentar com a brigas dos fãs leais a uma ou outra artista.
Setembro de 2008 - Questionada a respeito de sua opinião sobe Gaga, Aguilera diz que "não sabia nem de quem se tratava e nem se era um homem ou uma mulher". Em resposta, Gaga é discreta e declara que "Christina é uma artista maravilhosa, e sua performance revelara apenas uma semelhança". O blogueiro amigo de Gaga, Perez Hilton publica uma nota alfinetando Aguilera para defender Gaga.
Outubro de 2008 - Aguilera volta a atacar Gaga indagando se "ela não tinha mais o que fazer do que ser uma cretina?". Parte dos fãs de Christina começam abandona-la por não acreditar no que estavam ouvindo da boca dela.

Ela surpira, desejando que não seja nenhum jornalista querendo que ela desse alguma declaração sobre Aguilera. Era da gravadora, ligando pra comunicar que seu single Just Dance havia sido indicado ao Grammy na categoria de Melhor Canção Dance.

August 19, 2008 - Interscope Records releases the highly anticipated album The Fame, Lady Gaga. CD wound to the top of the charts in Canada and Australia, but not so successful in the United States.
August 2008 - Christina Aguilera appears dressed in a leotard and hood, a costume that resembled the look of imidiatamente Gaga. The internet forums are starting to warm up with the fighting loyalists of either artist.
September 2008 - Asked about her opinion about Gaga, Aguilera says she (Aguilera) "did not even know who she was and was not even a man or a woman." In response, Gaga is discreet and declares that "Christina is a wonderful artist, and her performance revealed only a likeness." Gaga’s blogger friend, Perez Hilton, published a note to defend Gaga.
October 2008 - Aguilera strikes again asking whether "she had no more to do than be a bitch?". Part of the Christina fans begin abandons her for not believing what they were hearing her mouth.
November 2008 - Gaga is on tour with New Kids on the Block when your phone rings. She surp, hoping that no journalist is not wanting her to give some statement about Aguilera. It was the label's calling to report that her single Just Dance was nominated for a Grammy for Best Dance Recording.
November 10, 2009 - Gaga releases Bad Romance music video.
April 30, 2010 - Christina Aguilera launches Not Myself Tonight music video and we all see the similarity with clips of Madonna and Lady Gaga.
